Hi, I’m Siân!
During my publishing career I worked at large traditional publishers like Hodder and Stoughton, agile independents like Canelo, and was a Senior Commissioning Editor at Joffe Books, acquiring and editing crime and thrillers.
I have worked with experienced authors, published bestsellers and prize-shortlisted novels. I’ve managed busy submissions inboxes and judged competitions.
Now, as a freelance editor, I know what it takes to stand out.
Am I the right editor for your book?

Support
Writing a book is hard and publishing can be draining. I’m here to help you and ensure you put your best book forward. I’m driven by a desire to help you make your book as strong as it can be and offer feedback in a clear and friendly manner.
Education
Teaching is a big part of my role as an editor. In giving you feedback, I want you to have the tools you need to write a bestseller. I’m not just focused on this book, but in your career long-term and giving you the resources to become a better writer.
Collaboration
This is your story. I’ll offer suggestions and highlight problems but you don’t have to say yes to all of them. I won’t be offended! All I ask is that you give my comments fair consideration and try and understand where I’m coming from. Often in understanding the root cause of the problem, you’ll come up with a far better solution!
